Oil Filled Nylon

Download oil filled nylon safety datasheet (PDF, 179KB)
This internally lubricated cast oil filled nylon 6 is self-lubricating in the real meaning of the word. Oil filled nylon has been especially developed for unlubricated, highly loaded and slowly moving parts applications, and yields a considerable enlargement of the application possibilities of nylons. This is because of its reduced coefficient of friction (up to 50%) and improved wear resistance (up to x10).
Oil filled nylon is available in
rod, sheet, plate and large diameter tube.

Heat Stabilised Nylon
Tradename: Ertalon 6 XAU
Colour: black
Download heat stabilised nylon technical datasheet (PDF, 93KB)
Download heat stabilised nylon safety datasheet (PDF, 179KB)
This heat stabilised cast nylon grade has a very dense and highly crystalline structure. Compared with conventional extruded or cast nylons, heat stabilised nylon offers superior heat ageing performance in air (much better resistance to thermal-oxidative degradation), allowing 15 30°C higher continuously allowable service temperatures. Heat stabilised nylon is particularly recommended for bearings and other mechanical parts subject to wear which are operating in air for long periods of time at temperatures over 60°C.
Heat stabilised nylon is available in
rod, sheet, plate and large diameter tube.
Nylon 4.6
Tradename: Ertalon 4.6
Colour: reddish brown
Download nylon 4.6 technical datasheet (PDF, 91KB)
Download nylon 4.6 safety datasheet (PDF, 179KB)
Compared with the conventional nylons, nylon 4.6 (STANYLŪ) features a better retention of stiffness and creep resistance over a wide range of temperatures as well as a superior heat ageing resistance. Therefore, applications for nylon 4.6 are situated in the higher temperature area of 80 to 150°C - where stiffness, creep resistance, heat ageing resistance, fatigue strength and wear resistance of nylon 6, nylon 66, acetal and PET and Ertalyte fall short.
Nylon 4.5 is available in
rod, sheet and plate.
