Tufnol Glass Fabric

This group includes grades with wide ranging properties determined by the resins used to bond the laminations. All of these materials are characterised by very high strength properties, good temperature resistance and good dimensional stability. Due to their high glass fibre content they are not machined as readily as cotton or paper grades and are not normally suitable for applications involving wear. The range includes grades with exceptional temperature resistance, first class dielectric properties, good resistance to tracking, assessed flammability and superb structural strength and toughness. These materials are used in a very wide range of technically demanding applications.

Grade 1OG/30 Melamine Glass Fabric
High electrical strength combined with exceptional resistance to electrical tracking. High temperature capability.

Grade 1OG/40 Epoxy Glass Fabric
Extremely high mechanical and electrical strength. Good dielectric properties in both dry and humid conditions. Excellent rigidity and dimensional stability.

Grade 1OG/41 Epoxy Glass Fabric
As 1OG/40, but with a special formulation giving controlled flammability.

Grade 1OG/42 Epoxy Glass Fabric
Generally similar to 1OG/40, but offers increased mechanical strength at higher temperatures (Class F).

Grade 1OG/43 Epoxy Glass Fabric
The controlled flammability of 1OG/41 plus the heat resistance of 1OG/42.

Grade 1OG/44 Epoxy Glass Fabric
Similar to 1OG/42, but with improved retention of flexural strength after heat ageing.

Grade 7G/50 Silicone Glass Fabric
Fine weave glass cloth and silicone resin give exceptional heat resistance and low loss dielectric properties in high frequency electrical applications.

Grade 1OG/50 Silicone Glass Fabric
High temperature resistance up to 200°C. Excellent dielectric properties and low loss tangent

Grade 6G/91 Polyimide Glass Fabric
High quality material capable of operating at 260°C for long periods. Excellent electrical and mechanical properties flexural strength, rigidity and dimensional stability
